ISRAEL 2022: DAY 7

Chorazin, Bethsaida, Capernaum

Jesus spent much of his earthly time in this area, touching the lives of the people he met. Here is where he became family to so many of them…AND US. This is a place to contemplate the meaning of family, and while I won’t divulge all my struggles today, I will say that I felt a deep sadness in the knowledge that my pastor…my rabbi whom I’ve been abundantly blessed to follow for 13 years…is stepping away from vocational preaching; and yet, Pastor Scott and all of his loved ones will always be family. We remain an unbroken family. ALL OF US. We have that choice. What will we do with it?

“…but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15)
